The expert culinary team of the Atrium hotel prepares for you delicacies that the great emperors of the Ancient Rome enjoyed.

This is a one of a kind menu, special in the way the food is prepared, studied from the cookbook by Marcus Gavius Apicius, collected in the 1st century. this cookbook today is the only comprehensive cookbook of the Diocletian’s era. We invite you to take a stroll through the centuries, guided by the flavours of original dishes of ancient Romans in our Cardo restaurant.

 

Menu

  • Escargot „Aliter Cocleas"
    Escargot braised on onion and olive oil, sauced with red wine and honey, served with braised rice
  • Roasted lamb „Haedum Pasticum"
    Roasted lamb boiled in sauce made of prunes, white wine and sun-dry herbs, accompanied with balsamic vinegar
  • Diocletian pancakes „Ova Sfongia"


Lunch also includes visit of remains of Diocleatian aqueduct (built in the AD 300s) located in the hotel basement.

Min 15 persons.
